Blockades are up
Social housing specialist Multisecure’s Blockade range of ‘Secured by Design’ entrance doors and doorsets is growing in popularity for upgrade and regeneration projects in London Boroughs.
In Hammersmith, 77 doors have been replaced with Blockade products in the Maystar estate by specialist contractor KRM Ltd. On the other side of the Thames, Cuttle and Mcleod Construction have just installed 41 Blockade doors in the five-storey, balcony access Telford House block of flats. Blockade doors and doorsets combine ‘Best Value’ with real security and peace of mind for residents. Doors are designed to match existing styles and utilise composite timber constructions with flush facings in stained or painted finishes. These can be decorated with optional mouldings and glazed panels – now including coloured glass - in a wide choice of styles. Frames can be hardwood, PVCu or the unique ARMACLAD steel system that up-grades existing frames to high security. Fully finished Blockade doors and doorsets are available supplied complete with seals and other accessories, such as letter plates and spy-holes, including a choice of security locks. Multisecure was the first door manufacturer to gain ‘Secured by Design’ (SBD) accreditation with successful testing of a Blockade doorset to the latest PAS 23 and 24 test standards carried out at a UKAS test laboratory. SBD is a police initiative designed to encourage crime prevention measures in the design, development and refurbishment of buildings, applying to both residential and commercial properties. Further information on Blockade doorsets is available on the website http://www.multisecure.co.uk/ or by telephoning 01773 530 500
